ARJ (IR) is a Toronto-born electronic music producer and DJ with Iranian roots known for his work in deep progressive house. He developed a natural connection to the genre’s hypnotic grooves and long-form storytelling by the age of 5 from his parents. By 2019, that early passion evolved into action when he began DJing, spending years refining his taste and understanding of flow behind the decks. In 2025, he expanded his creative vision by stepping into music production, translating the influences and musical intuition built over years of listening and DJing into his own original compositions. He developed his craft through dedicated experimentation and a growing interest in creating immersive, evolving compositions. With music now signed to labels such as AH Digital, Balkan Connection, Future Avenue, and Sound Of Harmonies and upcoming releases on Purrfection, Rude Resonance and Mango Alley, his studio approach emphasizes thoughtful arrangement and refined sound design, balancing groove-forward energy with introspective melodics. Having already received support from artists like Blake Jarrell, Ruben Karapetyan, N-TCHBL, Luca Abayan, Nicolas Viana, Fabri Lopez, Baunder, STEREO MUNK and more—and having shared the stage with progressive house artists including Guy Mantzur, Hicky & Kalo, Armen Miran, Mayro, DJ Ruby, Sa-MoaN and more to come—ARJ (IR) continues to refine his artistic voice with steady growth and authentic expression.
